The movie is set in 1931 and is about 3 aboriginal girls who are half casts and then are taken away from their families and taken to live in horrible conditions within dorm houses a few thousands kilometers away from their home in a place called Moore River. Molly who is the eldest girl of the three, escapes with her sisters and leads them back home along the rabbit proof fence.
