Bell Shakespears: Loves Magic Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

Drama is a form of communication, the art of storytelling at its best. How a story is interpreted however, is based upon the actors’ portrayal of characters towards the audience. By using a diversity of techniques the average actor can expose different concepts to an audience. An example of this can be seen through the Bell Shakespeare performance of “Loves Magic”. Which throughout the four actors use a variety of key drama elements such as mood, language and symbols to explore Shakespearian text and communicate to the audience a version of Shakespeare which they surprisingly found to their understanding. The mood the actors establish on stage impacts greatly on an audiences understanding of the play. It is the mood of the play which is responsible for enticing the audience to believe the reality of the drama. The actors from Bell Shakespeare demonstrated this quite well, they got the audience so involved that not only could the audience relate to the play but they also felt as if they were apart of it.
