A Critical Analysis of Martin Luther King Jr. Letter from Birmingham Jail: Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

A Voice for Colored People Race. It is a word which is associated with full thoughts of deeds and emotions. In the past, the skin color could indicate whether one would be “allowed” in the public community. Throughout mankind’s history, people have judged and mistreated their brothers and sisters of the different race from their own. For many years, colored people suffered destructively within their society. They were prevented to acquire the rights; especially, they could not attain their status because of segregation. By “Letter from Birmingham Jail,” Martin Luther King Jr. bravely spoke out the problems of segregation which was itself a sin and should be boycotted at the beginning. The author also rang his people ears to listen and support direct actions. In order to get back equality, they had to undergo savage prejudices from white people. Therefore, King wrote such a long letter not only to expose whites’ evil offences but also to urge blacks go on road to find justice. Justice is a potential thing that every citizen should ask from their government besides freedom......
