Mining is the extraction of valuable minerals or other geological materials from the earth, usually from an ore body. Materials extracted by mining include base metals, precious metals, iron, uranium, coal, diamonds, limestone, oil shale, rock salt and potash. In other words, mining can be called the extraction of any non-renewable resource. Metals are acquired by mining. Metals are very commonly used my man. Nearly everything man uses is made up of metals. All metals are mined from the Earth. Metals are something man cannot live without. However, mining does have quite harmful disadvantages. So the big question is To mine or not to mine? This question is very controversial and it is impossible to come up with an answer for the question. Maybe we should completely stop mining.
