Brave New World (BNW) by Aldous Huxley and Blade Runner (BR) by Ridley Scott are two dystopic texts from different historical and cultural backgrounds, which both reflect on the quality and importance of humanities relationship with the natural world and the consequences for the desire for control. Although Brave New World and Blade Runner are set almost fifty years apart; the message these two texts send is the same, which is- unbridled scientific and technological advancement will lead to a world, where man has lost touch with the natural world.
