The works of Titian, Vermeer and Watteau are set apart from other painters by the mere fact that each artist was, for the most, a visionary. Each had enormous impact on the way art was viewed, either in the Renaissance, Baroque or Rococo period, respectively. Also, they each were key contributors to the advancement of they way art was presented. Instead of recreating the works of the Old World Masters they painted everyday life as it was, simple and realistic.
Titian
Titian was the leader of the 16th-century Venetian school of the Italian Renaissance. His early works are richly evident of his schooling by Giorgione. In the earliest compositions of mythology or allegory themes there is a notion that the young artist still heavily influenced by Giorgione in his depiction of a poetic Arcadian world where nothing ordinary or distasteful exists. His inspiration originates in the peaceful world of the love lyrics of the 16th-century Italian poets.
