As the United States grew, not only geographically but agriculturally and economically, there were many events that brought the United States government and laws as they are today. In the novel A Different Mirror, written by Ronald Takaki, he dramatically describes many history altering events of our nations past. This book analyses the American history through the perspective of the minorities living in America during its development as a nation as we know to be the worlds greatest. Though Takakis novel he depicts different races and cultural tragedies that happened in the United States. In this paper I can only summarize some of the effects during the American Expansion that reflected on the Native American mistreatments; from the arrival of new America the white race was forming, to the present present how the past affected the Native tribes through time.
