Iagos tragic demise Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

It is often said that William Shakespeare possessed a very deep understanding of human nature, which is evident in the intricacies of his many works. If this is true, then he must have understood the human thought process and how easily a person can trick their mind into believing something even if there is no evidence to support it. It all begins with a single thought. For example, if a woman were fearful of her husband having an affair, she is bound by human nature to fabricate an entire scenario within her head highlighting everything that she doesn’t want to happen, but she brushes it off as just a thought. This thought, however, opens the door for even more thoughts, and she eventually begins to see things that may or may not even exist (i.e. not calling, not paying enough attention, etc.). Even though she has no evidence of her husband’s dishonesty, she assumes it to be true; her fear drives her thoughts into beliefs, and she begins to act on what she believes. Fear is not the only catalyst of thoughts based on no evidence, but it’s one of the major ones. ......
