In France Sealed Air is already selling an uncoated product through SIBCO, so there is no need to launch an uncoated product there. However, it should launch the product in other European markets such as England and Germany because of the increase in demand of uncoated product applications.
In England the uncoated bubble products should be launched because of the risk of losing a leadership position in this country (Sealed Air market share is 68%, which is 2.4 million dollars). It is necessary to protect these sales with a lower priced product. Sealed Air should thus follow a defensive strategy in this country.
