The Eater is to Blame Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

In the essay, “ Don’t Blame the Eater” by David Zinczenko, he argues that it is not the “eater’s” fault for the health problems that they endure from the foods they choose to eat, because most of them don’t really know what their putting into their bodies. He feels that the blame should be placed on the fast food corporations whom need to be taking on greater responsibilities, by taking action in showing their calorie and fat labels in a more accessible and understandable way to read, and to apply more healthy alternatives to their menus. I feel that Zinczenko does make a few good points concerning the way children eat and the way they are accustomed to eating while growing up, and how it’s effecting children’s health today. However, there are also some points that I disagree with him on, which have to do with options and personal responsibility. I disagree with Zinczenko when he states that fast food restaurants have become the only available options for many kids today because they are affordable and fast.
