Nearly 9 years ago a very successful and entrepreneurial man named Vincent McMahon wanted to expand his business, but in a different way then what he has promoted for several years within the pro wrestling circuit. Vincent was and still is President of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). He has successfully taken an entertainment industry and marketed it throughout the world. In researching his target audience, the primary demographic is 12-24 year olds, but WWE has hooked a much wider range of audience ages. The fact of the matter is most people know that wrestling matches are scripted and a winner is pre-determined. The fans, even as they know this, don’t seem to care. After all, it’s some what common knowledge with most everyone that wrestling is entertainment and not a real sport. In 2000, Vincent set his sights on buying the Canadian Football League (CFL) however; he was denied the purchase when the owners and board of directors of the CFL didn’t support the buyout.
