Every March the Dade County Youth Fair comes into town and my little child within gets so excited because I know I am going out for a day of fun and play. I love the fair for many reasons but my favorite is playing the games and challenging myself to get as many stuff animals as I can. The other reasons are the food, watch people have fun, and enjoy the rides that are not going to make me nauseous. Every year since I can remember the carnival was a yearly family tradition and as I have gotten older is continues to be a tradition of mine. Last year was a special year because for many years I had not been to the carnival with my parents. They are in their late seventies and feared that they would take my fun away. After years of asking them to come with me they finally said yes. As my mother said, what time are you picking us up? my stomach swirled in excitement. I knew they were in for many new surprises since the fair was completely different from when we would go together.
