Maya, Mother of Buddha, Holding a Tree Branch, is a sculpture from Nepal, dating back to the 18th century. She stands twenty-two inches tall and covered by an umbrella of branches stretched out over her head. A decorative head dress sits atop her head and large dangling earrings hang down from her ears. A matching necklace is draped around her neck and a long scarf hangs down over her arms. She appears to be wearing no shirt leaving her breast exposed. Her hips are decorated with a beaded skirt that exposes both of her legs. Maya is made form Gilt bronze and inlaid with precious stones.
Woman with Snakes is a sculpture from the Aegean period between the dates of 1700 and 1550 BCE. She stands eleven and five eighths inches tall, with outstretched arms. The woman is wearing a hat with some kind of cat sitting on it. She is dressed in a floor length skirt with colorful tears all the down it.
