This report focuses on the parallels of the synoptic gospels. This report will demonstrate how Luke and Matthew correct and make additions to the gospel of Mark in their own writings. They all convey the same message but in different verses and using their own way of fixing the Gospel of Mark so that it will be socially acceptable to each of their audiences. The following will show the discrepancies between the gospels using an example from Mark 4.21-25 and comparing it to its parallels in the gospels of Matthew and Luke.

The Markan and Lukan accounts of The Purpose of Parables (Lk 8:16-18; Mk 4:21-25) parable seem to be very similar in many aspects, but some details in each appear to be purposely omitted or figuratively altered.
