Out of all the senses, the human body uses its sense of sight the most. Specifically, it is the sense of the eyes. They are the organs that are used to observe and aid in movement of the human body by detecting light. However, besides eyes being the optical sense, eyes have been proved to be able to reveal inner feelings or reactions on a more psychological level.
The eyes are two identical organs that work so the body may see. Each eyeball is about one inch in width. The visional organs are very sensitive and move freely in place of the eye sockets with the help of six muscles. Vision works by light reaching the back of the eye into the retina which contains two types of cells: rods and cones. These cells are the shape of their names and make a chemical due to the light. Electric signals are created by the chemicals which are then sent to the brain by optic nerves. This process happens every time the eyes are open.
