Global Communications is a telecommunications company that has seen more profitable days. They are trying to recreate a competitive advantage for their company is a struggling industry. The three stakeholders discussed throughout the essay are the Global Communications Stockholders, the Technology Workers Union (TWU), and finally the Global Communications Senior Leadership Team (SLT). Global Communications (GC) has many issues they are facing. GC has identified what they believe to be the right problem which is the most important and most difficult part of the problem solving process (Maul). They have tried to roll out a new program to increase profitability without assessing the risks of whom it might affect. The SLT has also not disclosed many of their new ideas with the TWU. Global Communications have End-State Visions and Goals but changes in their plans must be implemented before they can be complete. These goals will ultimately help achieve the desired profitability.
