After measured the flask was removed and the electronic balance was re-zeroed and the sample was rinsed with water before adding it to a volumetric flask after all the sodium carbonate was dissolved in the water. With 1.00 gram (±0.002 error) of Sodium Carbonate in the volumetric flask with de-mineralised water (200mL) dissolved, we were ready for the next phase of the experiment.
