People who have had an abused childhood tend to remember the memory of the traumatic event or events and express their frustration, anger and complaints to their family, lover or friends. Chronically traumatized people are the ones that especially have reoccurring memories of these events and tend to always be worried about dangerous situations and suffer from frequent nightmares at night. Sometimes, such people can become accustomed to these symptoms and have no idea that these events are caused from a trauma that they have experienced. For example, soldiers who were captured during the Korean War in 1950 still have nightmares which are related with that traumatic event along with other events that they experienced during the war, which tend to be amplified by their experience of captivity.
