The Industrial revolution was a period of great change. During the years 1750-1900 Britain underwent major changes, economically and socially. Due to new inventions, agricultural changes, improvement of transport and the quality of life, the nation improved vastly. Although during the revolution Britain struggled with its general hygiene and working conditions. The end result of it all meant that Britain had improved massively and had become a new modern nation.
New creations were invented which enhanced all aspects of life in Britain, ranging from trade to the average 19th century home. New methods and machinery meant that the mass production of goods could be made faster and cheaper. An example is the Spinning Jenny which was created by Jasmes Hargraves in 1770. This was a machine that could replace 120 workers, by spinning 120 threads at any one time. New machines like this resulted in products being more available, cheaper and easier to make.
