My Favorite Food Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report
There are many fund memories of my childhood trips to Ocho Rios Jamaica. Dunns River Falls and the Reggae Beach were two of my favorite places to visit. In fact, most of our trips to this part of the island took us to these two spots. Most of all the food served at Faiths Pen, a rest stop half way between Kingston and Ocho Rios, was my favorite part of the journey. Here we had a choice of great Jamaican cuisine prepared by some of the islands best chefs and cooks alike. Chief among these was ackee with salt fish and roasted breadfruit.
Having breakfast here set the tone for a wonderful day. I remember vividly the host of brightly decorated shops painted in the most interesting colors, lining the driveway with smoke streaming from the fire place. The aura which filled the air, the site of the luscious breadfruit on the hot coals and the delicious smelling ackee with cod fish coming from the dutch pot. These smell served to whet the appetite of all in who chose to stop and those who drove by close enough.
After devouring a plate of that sumptuous ackee and salt fish decorated......
