Adams, J. In May of 4299, the accused travelled to the Central Plateau of the Commonwealth of Newgarth. Once the five explorers had entered the interior of the cave, a landslide occurred and caused detritus to block the only available entrance to and from the cavern. Whetmore, the deceased, and four other explorers searched the cave and examined the situation they were in and decided to set up near the blocked entrance until a rescue team came and set them free. The families of the missing notified the secretary of the society and determined the exact location of the trapped men. A rescue team was then sent out to the limestone cavern where the five men were trapped.
The rescue party consisted of workmen, engineers, geologists, and other professionals who made a campsite near the entrance to the cave. New land slides kept occurring while they worked and it made it an extreme task to clear. One of the members of the rescue team was killed and this added to the predicament. On the thirty second day there was success, and the surviving explorers were rescued.
