In this world there are milestones created both by mankind and nature. Some of these milestones are so ancient they were constructed in such a unique way. One ancient milestone in particular, was constructed so uniquely that it is said with all of our modern science and engineering today, we would not be able to build it. Such a milestone is known as the Great Pyramid of Giza.
As one of the âSeven Wonders of the World, the Great Pyramid of Giza is thought to be constructed in 2600 BC and resides on the northern edge of the Giza Plateau, just ten miles west of Cairo, Egypt. When it was built it was 146 meters high which is equivalent to a 48 modern-story building and has an area of ninety million cubic feet. The pyramid was constructed of two million, two ton, painted red limestone blocks, consisting of two-hundred and three steps and is so strategically positioned so that each side faces north, south, east and west.
