The orgins of the fast food industry are an amazing story, but the story is littered with hints of problems to come in the future. The fast food industry took of when the assembly line style of preparing things was used in the kitchen. Now food could be prepared quickly and easily making it cheaper to prepare and easier for the customer to afford. By using the same ingredients it made a sense of familiararity that people grew accuustomed to. People like to eat what is familiar and are likely to re vist if they know what they are going to get. Another distinct part of the system was training specific workers to do specific jobs this made people easy to train and made their job very skilless. As the fast food industry expanded this became more of a problem in many ways. Certain changes started to take place socially ad economically. At first hamburgers were percieved as food for the poor or carnival food, ground beef was not the best tasting meat and was usually ridden with bacteria.
