As an international student and a non-native English speaker, learning English as a second language and writing in an academic level was a challenge for me. My goal in this class was to focus on my grammar, proper sentence structure and choosing the correct words in my sentences. In the end, this class became more than that, English 108/102 gave me the confidence to be a more effective and creative writer. Not to mention that it gave me a small experience in how to give a speech and how to build up an argument.
We all know that practice makes things better, and we have practiced all semester long. Every student in this class wrote over 30 pages this semester. On each paper, students progressively improved their writing skills in one way or another throughout the semester. Every major paper we wrote was edited by the entire class.
