Sexual Harassment Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report
While swimming laps in a Canadian university swimming pool, a female student claims that Professor X sexually harassed her. She claimed that, while wearing a face mask and swim fins; he had embarrassed her by swimming alongside her, giving her undue attention, and ogling her. In her testimony she stated that his actions made her feel uncomfortable but she did not speak to the professor about his actions. Professor X defended himself by claiming that he was nearsighted and that he wore the swim goggles and fins as to swim better. Professor X was charged with sexual harassment. I will argue that Professor Xs actions were not a form of sexual harassment by examining the concept of sexual harassment and showing that it does not apply to this case.
