The Crucible, by Arthur Miller, is about a young girl named Abigail Williams or Abby as she is better know, and her life during the Salem witch trials. Abby has many traits that make her the person she is. Her character can be broken down by personality, motivation and change. Abby's personality is that of few people. She does whatever she wants to make her own self happy. She doesn't listen to anyone but herself, which ties in to her next trait. Abby's motivation is incredibly strong; she does whatever has to be done to be with John in this play, and finally her change throughout the story. She changes her believes on many thing so she can have John. She wants everything to do with him and believes changing to what he wants can help her.
In Author Miller's play The Crucible, Abigail Williams, a young girl falls in love with John Proctor. Abigail Williams's personality throughout the story is revealed in the way. She lies continuously to get her way and will do whatever it takes to be with John Proctor. Abby wants to be John's wife, so she lies to John about Elizabeth. She says......
