Natural Crime and Legal Crime There are two terms that come to mind when thinking of natural crime and legal crime, mala in se and mala prohibita. Mala in se is an act that is inherently evil and considered wrong regardless of whether or not there is a law against the act, such as murder. Mala prohibita is an act that is only considered bad because there is a law against it, such as driving on the wrong side of the road. In this paper I will discuss what is considered natural crime and legal crime as well as compare and contrast the two. Natural Crime Technically, there is no such thing as natural crime. In the natural world crime is not defined. The motto of nature is kill or be killed. In the natural world one must kill in order to survive whether it is for food or as self defense. There are many other things that are done in the natural world that are considered evil in the human world. Therefore it should be called crimes against humanity.
