The dictionary's definition of a nurse is a person formally trained in the care of the sick or infirm. Although this is true, I believe that to be a great nurse you have to care for that person with the love, compassion, sincerity and respect that you would give to your own loved ones. I believe that it takes a very special person to become a nurse, one that truly cares for their patients and takes pride in their job knowing that they are doing well by someone. I believe that I can become this special person. After interviewing a healthcare professional I want to work harder toward reaching this goal and becoming a terrific nurse.
The healthcare professional I interviewed is a certified registered nurse. She is a registered nurse at East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry, Ohio and has worked there for three years. She is twenty three years old and resides in Barnesville, Ohio with her husband and their four month old baby girl. Her husband is also a registered nurse.
