Kate Walker's "Peter" travels into an adolescent male mind and gives the audience an insight of self-discovery and society. The protagonist; Peter, is taken on a journey to determine his place in life. Peter is an archetype for the adolescent male's struggle to find their sexuality. Throughout Peter's journey, he uncovers many other facts of his life, for example; the stereotypical feminine role of a homosexual person is a myth. He also discovers that if your friends do not accept you as who you are, then you should not bother being their friends, this is conveyed through the caricatures of Tony and Eddy. I do agree with the statement, as Peter's struggle to find acceptance in his life can be very difficult but in the end, he made a great friend.
David, is Vince's homosexual friend but this does not seem to worry Vince. At first, when Peter meets David, he seems to have a good attitude towards and was oblivious to his sexuality, as he does not carry the same stereotypical homosexual role that people would expect.
