Two main essential key elements to self-esteem are the sense of being loved and accepted by others that matters the most and the feeling of independency. Martin Seligman, a child psychologist, who discovered that self-esteem can be determined by how well a child feels they are doing. When parents continuously interfere with a child independence to discover their own solution, the child sense of pride and self-esteem could be diminish by those actions. Treating a child like a baby usually ends up with a child with low self-esteem.
