Reform For The Future The event I chose to write about for my listening essay is President Barack Obamas Health Care Reform Town Hall Meeting in Belgrade, Montana dated August 14, 2009. This subject is something that is important to me because I have not been able to afford health insurance coverage for myself in over two years. I make too much money to get free healthcare but not enough to pay the $75 premium every month for the insurance coverage. The $75 dollar premium does not include my co pays or my cost of prescription medications. So, after watching this meeting, I can honestly say that I was quite pleased with the new reform plan that President Obama and Chairman Mark Bauckus are working on achieving for all the uninsured Americans. The majority of the audience is the general public with a mixture of professional, technical and laborers from small little towns all over the state of Montana.
