The American economy has developed itself around athletic competition. People across the nation tune in and root for their favorite team each and every game. Sports are a billion dollar industry that not only captures the attention of people across the nation but many businesses and cities as they try to capture revenue from team merchandise, beverages, and the revenue from hosting a major national sports team.
