The Mines In New Mexico there was a mining town called gods spring. It is located in the Sangre de Cristos Mountains. It is remote and is deep in the mountains. It was called that because when they first started to mine they struck it rich. It boomed in 1825. Jim's crew was the group of miners that founded the mine. It was a good mine for gold for about 6 years. Then it started to get harder to find gold. When miners couldn't find any more gold, they started to dig deeper and deeper. They dug so deep that the miners started to find caves that went down for who knows how long. They kept trying to look for gold but were unsuccessful. Till one day Jim's crew hit a cavity that was filled with gold. This is what they were looking for and what they needed to keep the mining town going. After they finished clearing the room of the gold they found another room that was hidden behind the room that was filled with gold. As they entered the room a sulfuric smell filled their nostrils.
