Depression refers to a feeling that affects an individual's day to day activities that is it interferes with his/ her capability to do tasks, learn, eat, and entertaining himself. It is quite different from sadness in the sense that in depression an individual has intense feelings of "hopelessness, worthlessness and feels little or no relief at all" (Constance, 1997).
