As movie goers and amateur film critics, we will never be able to fully comprehend or appreciate Quentin Tarantino's capacity for creativity, but his internationally acclaimed crime-drama, Pulp Fiction (1994), may give insight into what some critics refer to as pure genius. Pulp Fiction, set in the west coast crime capital, Los Angeles, implements a high profile cast and a nonlinear storyline to relate the tales in vignettes of an LA crime boss, an unrestrained boxer, the predicament had by two hit men, and a couple's unfortunate attempt at robbing a diner. Ranging from small time crooks to malicious underworld gangsters, the characters in the film all embody crime on various levels, but closer examination may yield an unexpected underlying theme. Pulp Fiction proves that even people who function poorly in society can be given a second chance to come clean and redeem themselves. The first story told in the film involves Vincent and Jules, two likeable yet ruthless hit men working as the muscle for their boss, LA kingpin, Marcellus Wallace. On what seems like a routine assignment......
