Headless Horseman Haunted Attraction: Ulster Park, NY On October 2nd, 2009 I took a trip up to Ulster Park, NY to visit and evaluate the operations of The Headless Horseman Haunted Attraction. Some of the media around this haunted attraction company state that it is the number one attraction in the country and does provide a thorough experience with some of the scariest characters in the area. This hayride claims to have over 12,000 visitors in the month of October and has been in operation for roughly 6 years now. Throughout my experience I chose to look at the different facets of my experience and also took a look at the effect the company has had on the local area with a local population of only 2,700 people. Upon arrival to the location, this is roughly 2 hours from the Newark, NJ area; I immediately noticed the lack of commercial stores and attractions in the local vicinity. My group and I also realized that the closest major location, SUNY New Paltz, was also 25 minutes away plus the attraction was put in the middle of a tree covered road (probably for space and environment......
