Poland use to be a communist country, where all the firms, industries and wholesale were owned by the government. By 1989, about 20,000 small businesses had been privatized by the government. Then by the year 1995 Poland had 1,600 businesses that where formerly state owned, were now privatized and 3,465 other businesses that were managed by government were on their way to be auctioned to privately owned sectors.
In a command economy such as Poland, the government owns and allocates all the resources that are there in the economy, makes all the decisions. All of the businesses running in the country are also planned and controlled by the government. This can sometimes create problems as it is impossible for the government to see everything that is going on in the country and put enough effort or funds into the businesses. If the government allocates all resources then it is possible that all the resources get finished due to misallocation. In these types of economies everyone has jobs so there is less unemployment, there is low or no inflation as everything is centrally controlled, ......
