Sexually Transmitted Infections are diseases that can infect your body without you ever knowing until it's too late because sometimes there are little or no symptoms at all. Sexually Transmitted Infections/Diseases popularly known as S.T.Is or S.T.Ds are among the top ten most frequent diseases reported in the United States. Almost 700,000 people are infected every day with one of over twenty different S.T.Is tracked by the world health officials.
Throughout history, more American's have been reported to be infected with a S.T.I now than any other time. The highest incidence being reported were between the ages of 16 to 24 years of age, particularly college aged teenagers and homosexuals. It is very difficult and in most cases impossible to tell if someone you're dating or hope to date has been exposed to a S.T.I. Before becoming sexually active with a partner it's always wise to get to know about his or her past first.
