Throughout time, there have been many events that have taken place that cause the human race in general much concern. For we cannot seem to understand simply why these events took place at all. Often, instead of looking for logical or scientific answers, we turn to religion, or we turn to fiction. We make up the answers we cannot find, because, candidly, it's better than not having answers at all. No matter what our religion is, (even if one chooses not to believe at all) it's these often made up answers that ultimately shape and form our ethical beliefs, our very thoughts that guide us through day to day life. And while one of the many definitions of ethics is that they are a universally accepted set of moral principles, on closer examination, we see that they are anything but universal, and tend to shift and change, with time, location and situation.
