Great Gatsby Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

The 1920's were full with parties, jazz concerts, and social events. And so were filled with greed, success, and wealth. No matter where the character came from or the circumstances of their personal life experiences. The Great Gatsby portrays the ideal life in the 1920's. Mostly because the next six characters will completely and utterly prove the past statement. Nick Carraway is a down to earth, 24 year old man. He was born in an upper class family. Nick could have stayed and took over his families business but he decided that he wanted to take the hard way out and go to college. After college he worked as a bond salesman. Mr. Fitzgerald details nick as a humble, none judgmental, and good morally base young man. Mr. Carraway is an example of success that overcame greed. Nicks distant cousin Daisy Buchanan is married to Tom Buchanan. She is described variously as socially adept but cynical women, a smart but typical flapper girl. A girl; with "a voice full of money" quotes Jay Gatsby. Daisy and Gatsby were in love 8 years earlier and jay had to go to war before they were reunit......
