After reading the book and watching the short film, I prefer too read the story. The story and video are totally opposite and hardly have similarities. The book has a lot more details than the film and keeps me more interested. Even though the book is more complicated to understand, the movie is still too boring. Although I thought the book would be less interesting than the movie my hypothesis was wrong. First, the reason why the narrator went to visit the house were for opposite reasons between the book and movie. In the movie, the narrator goes to visit the house to pick up his fiancé Madeline. He wanted to take her to go live with him and so that they could get married. But in the book, he goes to visit his sick friend Roderick Usher. His friend is very ill and he wants to keep him company. He also wants to try to take care of him. Second, there are different relationships between the people in the movie than in the book. The narrator is engaged to Madeline in the book and dislikes Roderick Usher. Rather than in the book, his best friend is Roderick Usher and he does not k......
