Harassment comes in many shapes, forms, and sizes are found in many workplaces. Harassment is an undesirable spoken, physical or written behavior that shows hostility or hate against a human being "on the basis of race, sex, color, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, age, veteran status, political affiliation, or disability (dpt.state.va.us 2006)." Creating an unfriendly or intimidated work environment, interfering with employee's work, affecting an employee's opportunities are all forms of harassment. Many steps can be taken at the workplace to stop harassment from happening, and many company's have training sessions to teach the employee's on what is harassment and what is not harrassment. Moral and ethical issues A manager has to decide whether harassment took place or not when an employee makes a complaint. The manager has to listen to the parties involved then make an ethical decision based on the evidence presented to them.
