A True Story
I stared down at the bowl-shaped fixture trying to collect my thoughts. This is wrong, I thought. But why do I feel so much better afterwards? I crouched over the toilet like a lion crouching to protect her cub from hunters. I slowly moved my index finger to my open mouth trying not to think about the vile act I was about to commit.
Before I knew it, I was through. I heaved everything I consumed before I arrived to the bathroom. Yellow and green chunks swirled with the stale water that was fresh only moments before. I could still taste the macaroni and cheese residue on my tongue. I flushed the toilet in disgust watching the soiled water disappear and left the vulgar scene.
I walked upstairs to my room, each step creaking as my weight pressed down and lifted off of them. I laid down on my bed in a recumbent position as I continued to think about what I've just done. I closed my eyes gently. It was like I wasn't even in control of my body, I thought. It doesn't make sense. I feel so much better though. Like everything has been released. All the dreadful......
