Throughout life, people try and find themselves through adventure and new experiences. In Into the Wild, Jon Krakauer introduces the audience to an amazing character through the true story of Chris McCandless. Throughout the book Chris McCandless shows many changes and lifestyles he desires to live by which helped him find his inner self. Although McCandless' journey into the wild seemed like a death wish to outsiders, it was a spiritual quest for self discovery and helped him understand the meaning of life. When Chris McCandless left after his graduation it symbolizes the start of his journey and how he wants to find his true self. The first step to his journey was that he donated all of his savings to a charity and only took 500 dollars to support himself until he met the wild. This is important because it shows that he didn't want to be involved in society at all and wanted to escape from being trapped in it before it's too late. He explained that all he wanted was truth in his life and all his parents gave him were goals to achieve, and things he didn't need or want. This is wh......
