I had to use a perception check in a situation where my daughter at the time was sixteen was hanging out with this girl around the same age, but my daughter was in the eleventh grade while this girl was only in the ninth grade. My daughter was very respectful towards adults and comes from a good home with values and morals. The girl she hung around I had heard that she had a baby at the age of thirteen and she was a very disrespectful child, I did not want my daughter hanging with someone like that because I thought she was a bad influence. The specific behavior I noticed was that she was always using profanity even around other adults; she would go to school when she wanted, and she did not know how to read or write. Her attitude was awful. The words she used when her and my daughter were together was of someone with no respect for others or themselves.
