"The World on The Turtle's Back" is an Iroquois creation myth that explains how the universe, earth, and life began through supernatural explanations of the World's origin. "The Man to Send Rain Clouds" is a conflict story, where the struggle is between two characters with different ways of thinking. In "The World on The Turtle's Back" and "The Man to Send Rain Clouds" they both show similarities and differences through the characters, transformation, and the explanations. In "The World on The Turtle's Back", it all starts with a women from the sky-world, who lands on a turtle's back. She creates the whole world by just a small handful of soil brought up from the ocean's bed and the piece of root she grabbed before she fell from the hole in the sky-world on the turtle's back. The roots created the earth and trees while she used clay to create the animals. The woman was pregnant when she fell and when her daughter got older she also walked around the turtle to keep the world going. Then a West Wind man came and then when he left the ......
