Intriguing beyond compare, reserved yet outgoing, simple yet complex; these are all things that define who I am. Contrary to the views of others, someone beyond the stereotype lies within. I was once told that I related to an exclamation point, defined as someone who is continuously happy, positive, out-going and over-achieving. This person is essentially known as a "people pleaser". However, this very definition of a stereotype exclamation point further proves how others' perceptional view of me is wrong. For much of my life I have been seen as the outgoing, overly preppy cheerleader. Moreover, beneath society's shallow images and expectations lies an insecure and terrified young adult. Due to this, I believe that a comma suits my personality and life experiences. When used in a compound sentence a comma is used to join two independent clauses together.
