February is Black History Month. Black History Month is a holiday that's celebrated yearly, and is celebrated all through-out the month of February. It is celebrated to remember where black people came from and how far they've changed. With the help of determined and devoted leaders they've risen from slaves to legislators. One person who deserves recognition for their contribution is Barack Hussein Obama Jr.
A leader is born. Obama was named after his father, Barack Hussein Obama,Sr. Obama Jr. was born on August 4, 1961, in Hawaii, to a black and white family mix. Obama's parents divorced when he was really young. Obama's father was originally from Kenya, where he moved back to when Obama was still quite young. Obama's mother remarried when he was six, and they moved to Indonesia. When he was ten, he moved back to Hawaii to live with his grandparents. Obama might have not been raised with his father, but his father was often spoken about.
