Some historians say that the North won the war because of Lincoln's ability to lead and the South had lost because of Davis's lack of leadership skills. The same historians also believe that if the leaders had been reversed that the South would have won the war and the North would have lost. The North not only had Lincoln as a great leader they also had a whole cabinet full of leaders.
