Abraham Maslow Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report
Abraham Harold Maslow (1908-1970) was a famous psychologist born in Brooklyn, New York and was the first of the seven Maslow children. Environmental influences were very much a part of his upbringing, family and teachers influenced his moral, intellectual, and emotional development. Heredity influenced him emotionally as he seemed to inherit his emotional tendency toward loneliness and depression (had long periods of depression throughout his adult life). For example, his family relationship influenced his moral and emotional development, as his father was distant and his mother was anxious and had pouts of serious emotional upheavals.
His Mother and Father were Jewish immigrants from Russia who put high expectations on Abraham, which impacted his emotional development. Abraham's parents saw education as an important constituent for their progenies success in the new world. This pressure from too high of expectations influenced his emotional development and Abraham became a very lonely boy and spent much of his time at the library, he found refuge in readin......
